  • 1 2 lb. chicken
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 10 oz. box frozen limas
  • 1 cups frozen or 1 can corn
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cups butter

Instructions
 

  • ring chicken to boil in salted water.
  • Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour, until tender.
  • Remove from both.
  • Add vegetables to broth and simmer until tender.
  • Strip chicken from bones in large pieces and add to stew last 5 minutes of cooking.
